VBA Cooper is a Two year old gelding who was passively trapped from the Long Plain region of the Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. Cooper is a soft and sensitive soul who loves to bond with a gentle person and then really follow their lead. He is medium frame and should mature around 14.2hh. Cooper has a stunning flaxen mane, a big blaze, white chin and two rear socks to his hocks. He is a stunning fellow who you would be proud to be seen anywhere with. Cooper happily leads, float loads, ties up, loves the obstacle course, and loves to be groomed. He would suit any ridden discipline from trail riding to adult riding club to showjumping. Due to his sensitive nature, Cooper will do well with someone with empathy and a good feel for pressure and release who really wants a best friend horse.  $900

VBA Nipper is a two and a half year old gelding, who was passively trapped from the Long Plain region of the Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. We expect Nipper to mature a solid framed 14.1hh. Nipper has a blaze and two socks and a really silver flaxen mane (which unfortunately you can’t see at all in this photo!)and is just so sweet and easy to handle. Nipper is still in training and is learning to be caught confidently as well as undertaking his float training. Nipper is a really intelligent fellow who seems to really enjoy his training. As you can see, Nipper is missing the tip of one of his ears, which only adds to his charm. Nipper could do anything from Campdrafting to trail riding or adult riding club with ease as he is a very athletic boy when he is playing in the paddock. He leads, ties up, loads.  $800

TBA Tangles

VBA Tangles is a Three year old gelding. Tangles was passively trapped from the Long Plain region of the Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales.  When I went up to pick up the Kosi Brumbies, I didn’t plan to bring Tangles home, but he kept coming up to me as though he knew what depended on my choosing him and I couldn’t resist. Tangles has been a calm, gentle, soft boy from the very beginning and just needs a best friend. He is medium frame and should mature around 14hh. Tangles is ready to go home and bond with his new owner and then saddle start in the discipline of your choice. He has the brain to tackle anything and leads, ties up, loves the obstacle course, float loads and follows anyone around his paddock hoping for a treat or a scratch! $800

8yo, 14.1hh, Bay mare with a star who was passively trapped from the Bogong High Plains region of the Alpine national Park in Victoria. Princess has spent the last few months at Lynn Mitchells farm being gentled using the non-violent methods of Monty Roberts Roberts (Lynn is one of only 3 Monty Roberts qualified instructors in Australia and we are so proud and thrilled to have her involved in our program). She is trained to lead, tie up and float load. Princess has taken to domestic life like a duck to water. She enjoys the company of humans and is always willing to try new things. She would make a great mount for a small adult or youth rider. Available to view in the Yarra Valley, Victoria.

Approximately 4yo, 14.1hh (still growing) black gelding who was passively trapped from the Bogong High Plains region of the Alpine national Park in Victoria. Cruiser has a big star (which is sometimes hard to see with his spectacular mane and forelock!) and two socks. Cruiser has spent the last few months at Lynn Mitchells farm being gentled using the non-violent methods of Monty Roberts (Lynn is one of only 3 Monty Roberts qualified instructors in Australia and we are so proud and thrilled to have her involved in our program). He is trained to lead and tie up. He is a sensitive soul and needs lots of reassurance when trying new things, but he will try his heart out for you. VBA Waratah is a One year old chestnut filly who was passively trapped from the Long Plain region of the Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. Waratah has a delightful, inquisitive personality and has been a real sweetheart to work with. Waratah is a very beautiful  filly who we expect to mature a solid 14.2hh plus. Waratah has shown that she would suit just about any discipline, but would really delight in an owner who spends lots of time with her – she enjoys being around people and when she has been put under pressure in training, seeks comfort from people, rather than trying to avoid contact. She leads, ties, floats, happily tackles our obstacle course, can be handled all over and caught in a large paddock. $700

VBA Spinner is a Two year old chestnut filly. Spinner was passively trapped from the Long Plain region of the Kosciuszko National Park in New South Wales. She was running with a group of colts when she was caught and is highly likely to be in foal. She is a real tank who we expect to mature a solid 14.2hh plus. Spinner has adorable markings and is a filly who tries really hard to please. She concentrates hard and works to get it right at every steo of her training, making her  delight to work with. Spinner leads, ties, floats and can be handled all over and caught in a grassy paddock. Spinner would be ideally suited to some very light intro saddle training prior to having her foal. $850

 

All Brumbies sold by the VBA are eligible for registration with the Australian Brumby Horse Register.

All Brumbies sold by the Victorian Brumby Association are eligible for registration with the Australian Brumby Horse Register. The ABHR is dedicated to furthering the interests of Brumbies in Australia by promoting them as fabulous and useful horses who are an integral part of our heritage. Your Brumby will come with their own Certificate of Authenticity, which enables you to register them with the ABHR.

Brumbies registered with the ABHR are eligible to compete in Brumby classes at various Agricultural and Royal show as well as some All breeds shows. The more that you as Brumby owners support these classes by entering them, the more classes we will be able to have at these shows and shows like them. In addition to this, the Victorian Brumby Association is currently developing high point type awards for Brumbies competing in Adult Riding Club and Pony Club and in various other discuplines which will be chosen to demonstrate the true versatility of the Brumby.
